Cinderella 2025 - Pantomime

The Mumford Theatre

Press Release

Cambridge’s Affordable Christmas Pantomime Returns with a Magical Twist on Cinderella Mumford Theatre Cambridge, this Christmas

Following last year’s hit Robin Hood at the Mumford Theatre, local panto favourite and recent ARU drama graduate Brad Collett is back with an original script that brings a fresh and funny twist to a timeless tale. This Christmas, Cambridge families are invited to don their glass slippers and join in the festive fun with Cinderella a brand-new, affordable pantomime playing at The Mumford Theatre. With ticket prices starting from just £8, it’s a magical, family-friendly production created especially for Cambridge residents.

Written by Brad Collett, whose Robin Hood in partnership with ARU, thrilled packed houses in 2024, this Cinderella combines traditional panto sparkle with witty new writing, larger-than-life characters, and a heartfelt message for all ages.

Brad Collett says:

"I wanted to write a Cinderella that keeps everything we love about pantomime the laughter, the singalongs, the booing and cheer but also gives the characters real warmth and humour. It’s a story about kindness, dreams, and finding your voice, which feels especially right for Cambridge audiences this Christmas."

With a talented local cast, many from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, marvellous music, eye-popping costumes, and audience participation, Cinderella promises a festive treat that won’t break the bank.
